DAVID BIRMINGHAM

 SENIOR LAND AGENT

David Birmingham has 15 years experience as a right-of-way agent.  He was employed for over 10 years with the Texas Department of Transportation.  While there, he was responsible for researching, preparing and negotiating right-of-way parcels and reviewing legal descriptions and right-of-way plans for the District.  He also was the Utility Coordinator for the District.  In addition, he was the acting Supervisor in the absence of the Right-of-Way Supervisor.  David was also the Right-of-Way Manager for CoServ Electric in North Texas.

Mr. Birmingham attended New Mexico Junior College, New Mexico State University, and Texas Tech University where he studied engineering.  Mr. Birmingham holds a Texas Real Estate Salesperson License.   He is a member of the International Right-of-Way Association.  He is currently Co-Chair of the Programs Committee for Chapter 74

ELDRIDGE TIDWELL

SENIOR LAND AGENT

Eldridge Tidwell has 19 years experience as a right-of-way agent for the Lower Colorado River Authority and 13 years experience building power lines, installing control wiring for substations, and installing underground utilities for the Lower Colorado River Authority for a combined total of 31 years experience.  During his tenure at the Lower Colorado River Authority Mr. Tidwell acquired right-of-way easements and substation sites, researched property ownership through County Deed records and Appraisal Districts, inspected damage claims, and resolved damage settlements.  He has worked closely with state, county, and city agencies with regards to their right-of-way needs.

        Mr. Tidwell attended Sul Ross University and Eastern New Mexico University where he studied range management, animal husbandry, and engineering.  Mr. Tidwell holds an Easement or Right-of-Way Agent Certificate of Registration #1731 from the State of Texas.

RICHARD L. SIEGEL

SENIOR LAND AGENT

Richard Siegel has been a right-of-way agent for the past 7 years acquiring new right-of-way and utility relocation for various companies across the state.  Prior to that time, he was a pipeline surveyor for approximately 20 years.  Mr. Siegel’s career has given him extensive experience in pipeline and utility layout/design/construction, mapping, title research and easement acquisition experience that accompany such projects.

Mr. Siegel is a member of the International Right-of-Way Association.  Mr. Siegel holds an Easement or Right-of-Way Agent Certificate of Registration #2136 from the State of Texas.

JACK BAKER

SENIOR LAND AGENT

Jack Baker has 32 years of experience in the land services field.  He has been a contract landman since 1970 working in several counties primarily for oil companies.

Mr. Baker graduated from Texas A&M University in 1951.  After service in the military from1951-1953 he became an Independent insurance agent and real estate loan officer from 1953 through 1987.  Mr. Baker has served on numerous banking, real estate, insurance, and water district boards.  Mr. Baker has extensive experience in title review and documentation.  His wide range of experience allows him to be versatile and reliable on any project.

CHAD HORTON

LAND AGENT

Chad Horton has been involved in the right-of-way industry since June 2001.  Prior to this, he was in a ranch management position for the Ace of Spades Ranch in Stephenville, Texas, from 1998 to 2001.  In June 2001, Mr. Horton began working with Steward Energy Resources in Austin, Texas.  As a landman for Steward Energy Resources, Chad researched and cleared mineral interest title and negotiated terms and provisions for oil and gas leases.  While employed with JMP Land Services, Chad has done ownership research, acquired right-of-way easements from landowners, and temporary work space sites.

Mr. Horton graduated from Tarleton State University in May of 2000 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Business Management.  Mr. Horton holds a Texas Real Estate Salesperson license.  He is a member of the International Right-of-Way Association.

BERT HOLMSTROM

LAND AGENT

Bert Holmstrom has been in the right-of-way industry since September 2001.  Prior to this, he was in Real Estate Sales from 1997-2001 dealing mainly with farm and ranch properties.  From 1975-1997 he was involved in the farm and ranch business.

Mr. Holmstrom graduated from Texas A&M University in 1975.  In 1990, he was honored in Washington, D.C. with the USDA Distinguished County Office Achievement Award for service to agriculture.  In 1986, the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce chose Mr. Holmstrom as the Agriculturalist of the Year.  Mr. Holmstrom holds a Texas Real Estate Salesperson license.  He is a member of the International Right-of-Way Association.

JUSTIN BIERSCHWALE

LAND AGENT

Justin Bierschwale has been involved in the real estate industry since September 1998.  He worked for the Texas A&M Real Estate Center from September 1998 through August 2001 researching economic trends, helping with real estate seminars, and solving computer related problems.  During the summers of 2000 and 2001, he worked with Bierschwale Appraisals researching deed records, helping with appraisal reports, and running ArcView GIS, a computer-mapping program.  He has been employed at JMP Land Services since August 2001 performing and helping with real estate appraisals, researching deed records, obtaining right-of-way easements, and finding solutions for computer issues. 

Mr. Bierschwale graduated with a B.S. Degree in Agricultural Economics from Texas A&M University in December 2002.  He graduated from the Mays Business School at Texas A&M University with a Master’s Degree in Land Economics and Real Estate in May, 2004.  He served as the President of the Land Economics and Real Estate Association at Texas A&M University.  He is an associate member of the Appraisal Institute, a candidate member of the American Society of Farm Managers & Rural Appraisers, a member of the International Right-of-Way Association and a member of the Society of Texas A&M Real Estate Professionals.  He is currently serving on the Board of Directors for the Austin Chapter of the Appraisal Institute, the Board of Directors for the Society of Texas A&M Real Estate Professionals and the Technology Committee for the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers.  Mr. Bierschwale is certified as a General Real Estate Appraiser in the State of Texas.

RICK ERPS

LAND AGENT

Rick Erps has been a right-of-way agent for the past 7 years working as an independent contractor for several right-of-way acquisition firms.  Mr. Erps has acquired right-of-way, been a project manager, and developed line routes for various entities across the state.  Mr. Erps was a Senior Property Agent for the City of Austin before coming to work for JMP Land Services, LLC.

Mr. Erps graduated from the University of Montana in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History.  Mr. Erps holds an Easement or Right-of-Way Agent Certificate of Registration #0942 from the State of Texas.

LAND SECRETARY

Linda Harrod has ten (10) years of secretarial experience in the land and real estate business.  During that time, she has performed numerous tasks involving the preparation of legal documents and maintenance of landowner/client files.  Her cheerful and helpful personality contributes greatly to a professional, friendly client relationship.
