JIMMY D. McCORD
CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Jimmy McCord is co-owner of JMP Land Services, LLC. He is also the President and owner of McCord Engineering, Inc.
Mr. McCord obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering in 1970 and also a Master of Engineering Degree in Electrical Engineering in 1971, both from Texas A&M University. After graduation, he worked 15 years for Electric Power Engineers, Inc., College Station, Texas, initially as a staff-consulting engineer and later as Vice-President of the firm. He then formed and incorporated McCord Engineering, Inc. in 1985, whose principal business has involved engineering and land services to Municipal and Rural Electric Systems.
Mr. McCord has approximately 30 years of experience in the consulting engineering and right-of-way acquisition fields. Jim has served as project coordinator on numerous electric and distribution projects for voltages through 138 kv. His overall expert knowledge in utility development has enhanced and reinforced his expertise in the land and right-of-way acquisition industry. He has been registered as a Professional Engineer in the State of Texas since 1974.
KATHY J. PARKER
CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
Kathy Parker is also co-owner of JMP Land Services, LLC. She has 20 years of experience in the land services and oil/gas professions as an engineering technologist with Schlumberger and S. A. Holditch & Associates, Inc. Ms. Parker has been involved with title examination, easement/lease acquisition, regulatory filings, preparation of contracts, expert witness support documentation, determination of property/mineral evaluations and data assessment. Her experience with preparation and interpretation of legal documents enhances our work results with quality control, accuracy and consistency.
Ms. Parker is a member of the International Right-of-Way Association.
STEVEN M. BECK, MAI, ARA, SR/WA
PRESIDENT
Steve Beck has 18 years experience as a real estate appraiser, right-of-way agent, and Supervisor of a right-of-way group. Mr. Beck obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture Business from Sam Houston State University in 1984 and a Master of Agriculture Degree in Agricultural Economics in 1987 from Texas A&M University. After graduation, he worked 8 years as a fee appraiser in Houston, Texas, initially as a staff appraiser and later as a senior appraiser. He was employed for five years with the firm Allen, Williford, and Seale and obtained extensive experience in the field of right-of-way appraisal. During this time Mr. Beck reviewed appraisals for the Superconducting Super Collider project in Waxahachie, Texas. Mr. Beck has testified in court on numerous occasions as an expert witness. Mr. Beck went to work for the Lower Colorado River Authority in Austin, Texas in 1995 as a staff appraiser. After 10 months he was promoted to Supervisor of Right-of-Way and Land Acquisition. During this tenure he supervised multiple large electric transmission line projects and water/wastewater line projects. In addition, his group also purchased easements for fiber optic cable, rain gauge sites, microwave tower sites, and irrigation canals. His group was responsible for the acquisition of properties in 58 counties.
Mr. Beck is a Senior Member of the International Right-of-Way Association and currently serves as 2 Year Director of Chapter 74 and Region 2 Secretary. Mr. Beck holds the MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute and the ARA designation from the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Austin Chapter of the Appraisal Institute. In addition, he holds a Texas Real Estate Brokers license, Texas Easement or Right-of-Way Agent Registration #2108, and is currently certified as a General Real Estate Appraiser in the State of Texas. Mr. Beck is a member of the Bryan-College Station Regional Association of Realtors. He is an active member in the Society of Texas A&M Real Estate Professionals.
